ITC-20 Registration:

How do I register?

** ONLINE REGISTRATION IS NOW AVAILABLE **

Online registration is provided by the Ottawa Centre for Research and Innovation (OCRI). Clicking on the hyperlinks below will take you to the ITC-20 page of the OCRI system in a new window. You can either register and pay online using a credit card (Visa, Mastercard or American Express), or you can fill the registration form online and pay offline (certified cheque, money order, or call to provide your credit card information). Please note that registration is completed only when the payment has been received. Also, you can access the system later for tutorial registration.

To register and pay online, you will need to setup an OCRI account (name and password) first before proceeding with registration. To create the account and register, please follow these steps:

1. Click on the link below, then on ‘Sign Up’ on the left column of the ITC-20 registration page of the OCRI web site.
2. Provide the required personal information, your choice for any future mailings, and your own preferred username and password for future login. While doing all these, please do not click on other links on the page you are in.
3. You will then be back to the registration page. Select your functions, verify your selections, enter your payment information and then check-out. You will receive a confirmation email sent to the email address you provide during account set-up.

On-site registration will also be provided.  The registration desk will be open from Sunday morning, June 17, until noon Wednesday, June 20.  More specific office hours will be posted later.

What is new in ITC-20 registration compared to other conferences?

An exciting new and fun feature of ITC-20 is the Early Bird Draw. The names of the first 175 full-fee or student registrants will be entered into a draw. Each of the three names to be picked during the lunch on Thursday will win an Apple iPod Nano (2GB). The winner has to be present to win the prize. Otherwise, another name will be drawn.

What are the registration fees?

All fees must be paid in Canadian dollars.  By Federal law, a 6% Goods and Services Tax (GST) is added to the fees.  Fees can be paid with credit card, money order, or certified cheque.  For those paying offline, please complete your form online and send your certified cheque or money order to:

A particular tutorial will be held only if that tutorial will have at least 10 registered participants by May 17, 2007.  Otherwise, the tutorial will be cancelled, and the registered participants will get a full refund.  ITC-20 assumes no other responsibility or liability because of the tutorial cancellation.

One can register just for the conference only, or only 1 or 2 tutorials, or both conference and 1 or 2 tutorials.

What do the fees cover?

The fee of a registrant or a student registrant entitles the attendee to participate in all the technical sessions and coffee breaks, the Welcome Reception (Monday), two lunches (Wednesday and Thursday), the technical or social event (Wednesday), and the banquet (Wednesday). Each attendee will also receive a copy of the printed proceedings with a CD-ROM disc.

The fee of an accompanying guest entitles the guest to attend the Welcome Reception (Monday), the afternoon social event (Wednesday), and the banquet (Wednesday evening).

The tutorial fee allows the registered person to attend the tutorial selected. The fee also covers the coffee break and handouts.

Can I buy extra proceedings or extra pages for my paper?

Yes.

Each additional copy of the proceedings (printed copy and CD disc) costs CAD$100.

An author can buy more printing space, up to 2 more pages per paper, for CAD$50 per page.  Because of the page limit for the proceedings, only 50 extra pages are available, and they will be sold on a first-come-first-serve basis starting February 19.

What should I do if I have to cancel my registration?

A refund, minus an administration fee of CAD$150.00, will be provided only if the registrant requests a refund via email to Elaine Cobill at ECobill@ocri.ca not later than May 16, 2007. No refund will be available to requests received on or after May 17, 2007. This policy applies to all types of fee charged for this conference.
